Small Group Conversation Class
A weekly meeting focused on speaking, new vocabulary and error correction.
A Complete Focus On Speaking
The main focus of these classes is speaking. The groups are small, with a maximum of 5 students, which provides the perfect balance of various points of view and individual speaking time.
Each class provides you with uninterrupted speaking time, on a variety of advanced topics. You get the opportunity to share your opinions, and react and respond to other people's.
Your teacher will be there to lead the conversation, correct any mistakes and provide any missing vocabulary, but the main focus is giving you the time to speak, in a relaxed environment.
A Different Topic Each Week
Each week, you will have access to a short video or article to read before the lesson. This will be uploaded to the course forum on the Pink Flamingo English Online platform, which you will have access to through your own individual student account.
Along with the text or video, there will be a list of new, advanced vocabulary connected to the topic. This vocabulary is for you to check before the lesson, and practise using during the conversation. You can ask any questions about it at the start of each class.
Study Notes From Each Lesson
After each lesson you will have access to a list of new vocabulary and problem grammar areas from the lesson, added to the group forum.
This is a great way to highlight any grammar rules to review, or provide you with new words connected to the topic.
Additional Materials
These are additional materials for you review and work through in your own time, however, if you have any questions about them you can always contact your teacher privately.
When you are familiar with more advanced vocabulary and grammar you automatically feel more confident communicating in English, which has a big impact on your fluency.
Conversations during classes are more like chat with a friend but you may always be sure that all the mistakes will be corrected instantly. It creates a great environment to improve pronunciation and speaking skills while overcoming language barriers. In brief I strongly recommend lessons with Amy!
